One of only 30 or so holiday cottages which have uninterrupted views overlooking the sea in this beautiful village of Beadnell on the North Northumberland Coast. The Haven is owned by descendants of one of the oldest families in the area and is a much loved holiday cottage. Light and airy, with neutral decor and stripped wood floors, tasteful stripped pine furniture and comfortable lounge furniture, quality beds and bed linens, the cottage offers very spacious accommodation for 4 people. We welcome families, friends holidaying together, or interest groups, though sorry the house is not equipped to meet the needs of divers. Birdwatchers, walkers, golfers and those generally interested in exploring the beautiful Northumberland Coast are well catered for here, and Beadnell is central enough to explore Northumberland's much undiscovered interior as well, being only 45 minutes from the National Park, 30 minutes from Berwick upon Tweed and 20 minutes from Alnwick. WiFi is also available.

All very good. Can’t wait to come again

Mrs Lorraine M,

Really lovely location. The kitchen is small, it everything needed is available. Nice touches, fluffy towels and squashy pillows

Past Customer,

Booked for a relaxing break with our 2 dogs wanted a beach location which was accessible and we were not dissappinted

Past Customer,

This is our third stay at this house and it is very suited to our needs. Off-season the lovely beach (thanks to teams of local volunteers who litter-pick regularly) is almost empty and great for walks. We come up to meet with old friends, do some palaeontology work and relax. The house is comfortable and well appointed - and very warm (slightly too warm for us). Charlie our whippet Bedlington cross likes the familiarity of coming to the same house and settles very well. We find the people at StayNorthumbria very friendly and helpful.

Past Customer,

The Haven is a warm cosy cottage with the added benefit of an open log fire. The views are stunning and the location perfect.

Past Customer,

House was warm and welcoming. Windows at the front of the house need attention as they let in water quite badly. Also the roof over the sitting room door leaks. The flower bed/block in the driveway - very annoying!

Past Customer,

well appointed

Past Customer,

Spent another great week at the Haven, facilities are just right, its open plan downstairs with a separate kitchen and large utility with access to the garage which was great for drying the dogs before entering the house (we used the garage door as our main way in) We have stayed here for the last 3 years and also stayed at the property next door, the area is great and we just hopped up and down the coast looking for new places to walk or stop for a coffee. Would recommend this cottage for its easy access to the beach and local area

Past Customer,

We booked the Haven for a last minute weeks stay at the end of the summer holidays and it didn’t dissapoint. The house was spotless, light, airy and location would be hard to beat. In walking distance to great rock pools, the bay and sand dunes, harbour, cafe, pub, shop..and the south facing garden was a little sun trap, would definately only negative point would be that the website photos don’t do the house justice!

Past Customer,
