If you are visiting Northumberland this Autumn and want to find a place to pick up a pumpkin and maybe even have a creative carving competition with your friends and family, then below is our top 4 picks for the season.

While in the area, why not book a Grace Darling holiday cottage to enjoy a really comfortable stay. You can get last minute availability for the October half term if you are quick!

#1 Alnwick Garden Pumpkin Carving and Pumpkin Parade

Where: The Alnwick Garden, Denwick Lane, Alnwick, Northumberland NE66 1YU.

Opening hours: Find a pumpkin, carve it and see how you fair against others! Why don’t you carve a scary face? Or perhaps you are adventurous and can carve something a little more creative?

You will also receive a free ticket into The Garden for the 31st October from 5:30pm onwards, to join in with the pumpkin parade at 6.00pm. There is also a lot going on in Halloween this year. Why not come dressed up in your favourite fancy dress and post your photos on their social media using the hashtag #GiantHalloween to win prizes! Little ones can enjoy dressing as a ghost, skeleton or monster this season!
