Cottages in Seahouses

Seahouses is a vibrant fishing village at the heart of the Northumberland coast. Close to Bamburgh and the Farne Islands, Seahouses is a hive of historic and natural activity, being home to many species of wildlife and part of the Heritage Coast. Our Seahouses Cottages put you close to its famous harbour, which was once a hotspot for fishing imports and distributing lime, but now caters towards its visitors. We have a wonderful selection of holiday homes in the Seahouses Area, with everything from sea views to being dog-friendly, to help bring as many people as possible to this lovely place.

Many of our Seahouses holiday cottages are classed as luxury homes and have been hand-picked by our wonderful local team for their special features and beautiful design. With everything to offer, from cosy open fires, to games rooms to keep the whole family entertained, our luxury cottages are an experience in and of themselves.

Whichever holiday home you choose in Seahouses, be sure to add a trip to the Farne Islands to your trip itinerary. The Farne Islands are one of Europe’s most important bird sanctuaries and lie just two to three miles off the Northumberland coast. From April to July the islands are dominated by 23 species of seabirds including 43,000 pairs of puffins, as well as being home to more than 2,000 seal pups born at the islands every Autumn and Winter. A number of different boating companies including Serenity Boats and Billy Shiel’s Boat Tours host a variety of trips to the islands on a daily basis, including a Sunset Cruise which is truly a sight to behold. If you are lucky, on these trips as well as seeing seabirds and seals, you may spot a few dolphins too!

Back on the mainland, Seahouses is a bit of a food-lover's paradise. Being by the sea, there’s definitely no shortage of Fish and Chips, but if you fancy something a little different, Elan’s Pizzeria is a great Italian restaurant. For a spot of refreshment and unrivalled sea views, head to The Bamburgh Castle Inn and The Olde Ship Inn, both of which have great beer gardens. For lunch and lite bites, Seafield Ocean Club has a lovely café and One Coffee 1 does great coffees and cakes.

Seahouses is also in the perfect location to explore the whole of Northumberland – coast and country. Situated midway between Bamburgh and Beadnell, both of which have beautiful beaches. There is a walking trail between Seahouses and Beadnell, which goes along the coast and through the local golf course that is truly a treat for those who want amazing sea views and fresh sea air. Perfect for sandy paws too, we have a range of dog-friendly cottages across Seahouses and Northumberland for you to explore, as well as an amazing array of luxury cottages and coastal holiday homes
