As the name suggests, this building was formerly used as the Bamburgh Boys School. Now The Old School House has been fully renovated and is a beautifully located property for a great holiday retreat. Only a 200 yard walk to the fabulous sandy beach and historic castle, which you can see great views of from the bedroom, it's even less of a walk to the village pubs, restaurants and shops.
If you want to venture further, Holy Island is 20 minutes up the coast with it's Castle and Priory to explore. Alnwick with its famous Harry Potter castle and decorative gardens is also a 20 minute journey. The charming fishing village of Seahouses is just 3 miles away where you can enjoy boat trips to the islands and a range of activities for all the family.
This great first floor has a large living room with inglenook fireplace, electric stove, freeview TV including DVD player, portable CD player, and dining table, making it an excellent space to hang around in. The kitchen has a breakfast table and all the mod cons you'll need for cooking or entertaining. There's also a separate shower room with hand basin, WC and a washing machine.
There are two very large bedrooms with great castle views. One bedroom has a king size and a single bed. The other bedroom is made up with two zip and link beds which operates as either a super king or twins. A further single bed plus a pull out mattress, suitable for an additional child, is available. Both rooms are well furnished, have dressers and wardrobes and benefit from great sea views.
(upon request and at an additional cost)
The Old School House is dog friendly and welcomes one well behaved dog. The fee is £25. It is a condition of accepting a pet that it is not allowed on the 2nd floor and must be exercised away from the courtyard.
