Reviews

Great position. Welcoming & ticks all our boxes. We go every year!

Mr C,

Clean, well equipped, very well situated, warm, well kept premises. Loved our time there.

Mr J,

Very impressed .The holiday home very clean and had everything you needed ,even special little touches like biscuits and wine.It was very central for everything; you didn't have to use the car a lot you could walk into Seahouses. Bamber had lots of beer gardens you could take dogs and lovely food.Beaches are perfect. We will definitely be back.

Mrs C,

What a lovely cottage with just the right balance of coziness and practicality, with a modern twist and spotlessly clean

Previous Customer,

Lovely cottage & fantastic location. Lovely walks on the beach, loads to do & see.

Past Customer,

Spacious and well equipped in a fantastic location for both Bamburgh and Seashouses and the coast. Really nice walk into Bamburgh and a lovely green in front of the castle which was great for training our dog or watching cricket and croquet. The garden space at the front of the cottage was also really handy to sit outside and play games with the dog. Would highly recommend staying here and within easy reach of all of the Northumberland attractions. The people in the area were very friendly. The bed in the property was extremely comfortable. We lit a few fires and enjoyed meals in as well as sampling a few ales at the pub. The castle is worth a visit - stunning views.

Mrs S,

Excellent cosy cottage, very nice decor. 10-12 minutes walk into Bamburgh which was fine for us, maybe too far for less able visitors. We would definitely return. We have been customers of GDH for many years, always had excellent service, great clean cottages. We always try to use GDH for Northumberland.

Mrs Dawn B,

Warm, comfy cottage, perfectly placed for rambles across the dunes to the beach

Previous Customer,

What a delightful cottage, everything i needed and a stones throw from the beach, The dogs loved it and- becasue it has a safe enclosed garden for them too! Lovely & clean- perfect.

Past Customer,

An exceptional cottage, warm & comfortable. Thanks to the housekeeper, who obviously takes a great deal of effort to keep the cottage running well for guests

Cottage very well-equipped and tidy. Many thanks for welcome pack. Dogs are going home very tired. Best cottage in Bamburgh we have experienced and most tidy in 30 years.

Enjoyed Bamburgh very much. Cottage clean and comfortable. Thank you for wine and shortbread.

Past Customer,

Very clean and tidy.Well equipped cottage, looked fresh and inviting. Only issue was lack of phone signal and no mention of it during booking. Would certainly stay again.

Great location and accommodation

mr R W,

We’ve been coming every year for best part of 10 years & love it!! Idyllic location Athough slightly cool on occasion with movement reactive radiators. However there is a great wood fire as back up

Mr Kevin C,

9 Armstrong is a great property, comfortable, clean and welcoming. Close to the beach and lots of fabulous places to visit and stunning scenery.

Miss Jean D,

The cottage was absolutely awesome, extremely well equipped and we felt immediately at home. The welcome pack and little extras made a big difference.

Mr Mark T,

Had to be quick in the shower very limited hot water

Mr Andrew S,

Cottage so clean and really warm. Ideal location. Secure garden. Lots of kitchen equipment.

mr J F,

The cottage was great. The pre arrangements were not great unfortunately. There was confusion about the possible room configurations and promises to call back/ contact us that didn’t happen. Though the holiday was excellent, the owner and cleaning teams provided a wonderful experience the ‘office’ experience was not at the same level.
